I have an iPod touch 5th generation, iOS 8.4.1 ... the newest snapchat update downloaded, but i cannot access the lenses by tapping and holding on my face
before taking a picture and it won't give me the option to choose an effect or anything, and I don't know why. It's really frustrating me...... Please help?

I think you have to have at least iOS 9 but idk
I already upgraded into IOS 9.0.2 and snapchat v 9.16.1.0 but i still cant use the new lenses by tap or holding on my face. It wont scan my face, just makes it focus by tapping it. APPLE SUPPORT PLEASE HELP AND SOLVE THIS! thx
What does SnapChat say? It is their app, not Apple's app.
