I have received an email from 'no.reply@apple.ssl.com'.


Subtitle was: Your Apple ID has been suspended [#297848]

and that mail said:

Dear Customer,


Our system recently detected a problem
with your nominated payment method associated with your Apple ID.
To continue having exclusive access to our products
and services we require you to validate your information,
please follow the link below in order to ensure your billing and payment details are accurate and up-to date.


Click here to validate your account (Link to: http://iservice0.com/)


Your Apple ID cannot be used until we are satisfied your details are correct.


Failure to comply may result in complete termination of your Apple service.

But I think apple's ssl address is ssl.apple.com and their domain isdervice0.com sound weird.

And I didn't use any kind of payment services.


So I just wanna know is that email really from apple or not.

It's a scam. A phishing attempt.

I'm fairly new to Apple and don't yet use the Cloud.

The message below suddenly appeared today in my spam folder (fortunately not my in box!) so I assume it IS spam.

Having read your question and checked out the domain on line I figured I would send the header and contents to 'reportphishing@apple.com' as this way they are informed when this crap is being circulated and can maybe trace the origins and take steps to block it.

Thank all the gods there is an Apple forum so I can check this sort of thing out (*_*)

I've never understood the need to screw with other people's computers - live and let live is my motto!
