how to find apple id previous owner with serial number mac

Hi,

I have bought a MBP thru a second hand internet site. The person I've bought it from says that he didn't add this MBP to his Apple ID on Apple's support profile page. When I want to add this MBP's serial number I get a message which says it's connected to someone else's ID.

How can I find out who's ID this is, to ask him to delete the MBP from his support profile?

For all clarity: the MBP hasn't been stolen (checked it) and everything works fine, except that I want to add to my profile.

thanks!

There is no such thing as an "Apple ID lock." If you're thinking if Activation Lock, that's only for iOS devices (and the Watch starting with watchOS 2). All we're talking about here is registration online at My Support Profile on Apple's website. It's not proof of ownership. It's just a way to keep track of warranty-related information, like the serial number if needed for service, or case history. Thus, Apple has no problem overriding registration for users.
