How do you change Apple ID on devices to show new Apple ID?
Read this article (you need to sign out of all the services you're currently signed in to with your old ID):
Me again. So now cannot set up my Watch because first came up new, correct ID, but it will not accept and go on. Comes up next MESSAGE with old ID and of course PW does not work. So stuck.
Thank you. BUT how does one sign out of a device? On iPad, sign out at Cloud, you need the password for the OLD ID.
My iPhone is stuck trying to set up iWatch. First ID shows the new one but the password did not work. then the old ID came up and I gave up.
I signed out of iCloud.com ok. I cannot find how to sign out of my iPad other than in iCloud. Ditto signing out of the iPhone, especially since the correct new ID showed up first.

I am having the same problem but do not see a solution in this thread.
check out of cloud and sign back in with new ID. BUT every once in a while I get the message to sign back in with old ID. So only solved 99 percent of the time. Good luck.
Thank you. That was helpful. I had to go in and temporary change back to original i.d., then I signed out of everything (on every device) using old log in (you have to use a log in to log out ;-). Then I changed i.d. to new and signed back in on every device. A little tedious but it worked! Thank you again!

When trying to update my Verizon and the Bible on my iPhone, it asks for my daughter's old account password. What can be done?
Delete the bible app, then download it again using your Apple ID.
I too had the problem. Followed instructions and voila', I am in business again! Thank you for the instructions of signing out from all my applications.
But it will delete my phono stream and other items. Then when at the very end of the Miriam of questions asking me if I'm sure, it asks for an obsolete password.
