Sep 16, 2015 12:16 PM in response to jcowboyby SergZak,You might want to do a Spotlight Search for it if you can't find it since it is compatible with the iPad as well as iPhone.

Sep 16, 2015 12:18 PM in response to Ralph Landry1by jcowboy,Yes, I understand. I see it on my iPhone 5S with IOS 9. I don't see it at all on my iPad Air with IOS 9. I did a search for it and still cannot locate it. Thank you.

Sep 16, 2015 12:22 PM in response to SergZakby jcowboy,Thank you. I did, but it doesn't show up in Spotlight Search.
I live in Japan, but if it's on my iPhone 5S it should also be on my iPad Air.

Sep 16, 2015 12:29 PM in response to jcowboyby Ralph Landry1,Try going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout and see if that finds it.
You can also go to Settings > General > Restrictions and see if a restriction is placed on the app.

Sep 16, 2015 12:42 PM in response to jcowboyby King_Penguin,The iOS 9 manual says that it's not available in all countries, but I haven't found a list saying where it is - I'm not seeing it on my iPad here in the UK. You are using the same id on both your phone and iPad ?
-
Sep 16, 2015 12:48 PM in response to King_Penguinby jcowboy,Thanks, yes I'm using same ID and password on both devices. I've been in Japan for 24 years and I've been using Apple computers since 1993. Never had any ID outside of Japan.

Sep 16, 2015 1:21 PM in response to jcowboyby King_Penguin,★HelpfulAccording to a couple of sites that I've found it's initially available in the USA, UK (so in theory I should have it) and Australia - if that is the case then you shouldn't see it on your iPad nor iPhone.

Sep 16, 2015 3:34 PM in response to jcowboyby brianRS01,I have an iPhone 5s and iPad Air 2 from Canada. News app installed to 5s and functions, but does not appear on iPad Air 2.

Sep 17, 2015 9:13 PM in response to jcowboyby Dumond,Same problem here. I'm from Canada and I updated my iPhone 4S and my iPad Mini to iOS9 -- both using the same Apple ID.
The results...
- iPhone 4S: News app is on device
- iPad Mini: News app is not on device
Very odd as I'd much rather read this content on my iPad than on my iPhone.
Furthermore, it replaced my Newsstand app with a folder containing the magazine apps I'm subscribed to.
Apple, what's the scoop?!

Sep 20, 2015 6:48 AM in response to marianfromguelphby brianRS01,★HelpfulGo to Settings>General>Language & Region. Check that Region is set for United States. Shut down iPad and restart it and the News app should be available on one your screens. Read this tip from someone else, and worked for me.
