game center broken in ios 9

Anyone else seeing this? I saw this during the beta but in the last beta it would actually load eventually. But now it doesn't do anything. Just sits on the white screen. It works perfectly fine on my iPad Mini 3, though.

iPhone 5s, iOS 9

Same problem here, I can not open game center, I got a blank screen. In settings menu I can not access to game center settings either, it freezes.

It worked fine on IOS 8.4.1.

This problem hit me on my iPad Air 2 when I upgraded. The problem appears to be in the backup data that's not related to Game Center, or at least it's not cleared by logging out of Game Center prior to upgrading to iOS 9. I reluctantly wiped my iPad and set it up as new. I lost a few years worth of progress in games I no longer play (things like Angry birds), but my Air 2 runs better than ever and has a lot more room.

I filed a big at bugreport.apple.com and Apple asked me for data. Even though I have a 8.4.1 backup of the iPad, I didn't feel like restoring the "bad" data on my iPad and spending more time on this problem than I already have (which is like 14 hours straight of restores, backup, more restores, etc). If you want to get data directly to the Apple engineers though I recommend bugreport.apple.com.

Personally if I find the time, I may restore the backup on an old iPad 2 and then use iMazing to backup the apps I lost and transfer them to my Air 2.

hi guys, if anyone or someone u might know who has the resource and ability to contact or reach apple support ,might have time to do so to adress this issue. A lot of device have experienced this problem after ios 9 update and still Apple doesnt make any big fix to thier latest ios 9.0.1 update. Gamecenter is very crucial to our games progress that dealt with it

HI I tried all the solutions that you mentioned below also I was getting a white screen in my game center after loading iOS nine. I tried all the resets even reloaded iCloud and nothing worked. I found out what the problem is. The white screen is caused by an old app that is not compatible with the updates I reloaded my iPad Air 2 from iCloud and then began deleting old apps that I never used anyway. I had to actually go to my Mac PC to delete some of them because they would not delete off my iPad . Now that my old apps are gone the game Center works fine. I really think this is the problem. I even had a couple apps that were no longer in the App Store. Hope this helps

The only thing I have found to work is to log out of Game Center through settings, and not log back in. The only way I have been able to do it is fallowing these steps.

Close everything running.

Preform a hard reset by holding the power/sleep button and home button. Hold the buttons down until you get the Apple logo.

As soon as the Apple logo shows, release the buttons.

Once the device has finished booting, immediately open settings.

Scroll down to Game Center, and tap on it to open it.

I usually have to wait a couple minutes, however it usually loads up. As long as you get the loading indicator, you just have to wait.

From in there, tap your login E-Mail address, and select log out.

From there, just don't log back into Game Center.

Yes, you loose all the benefits and features of Game Center, however unless the game requires it, they will load after about a minute.
