ethernet not getting recognized

Hello I have a power mac g4 AGP Graphics 400 mhz and when ever I plug in ethernet it is not recognized any help appreciated Thanks

Have you done a PRAM reset, CMD+Option+p+r...

In fact, do 3 in a row, takes a bit of time.

it is recognizing the IP address but not the router address any other suggestions

What IP is it getting?

Also, turn off IPv6:

System Preferences » Network » AirPort » TCP/IP tab » Configure IPv6
