iOS 9 Siri does NOT beep.

I have an Iphone 5C and tried changing the language and gender of Siri and I still don't get the beep sound when I double tap the home button.

I have the 5C with this same issue

Hopefully apple will bring the beep back in the next update. At least they give an option to turn it on or off.

I totally agree. I would like the option to have a beep or vibration.

The vibration feels like an android phone (poor choice of feedback in my opinion)

I wish Apple would listen and add an option to get a beep feedback instead of the vibrations.

P.S.

I don't like to disable ALL vibrations, simply let me decide if I want to use vibration feedback for Siri or not.

if this is not a bug it is a highly irritating design flaw

just use "hey Siri" voice activation if you want to hear the beep for now. Until apple bring back this feature.

Hey this fixed mine. Go to settings > General > Siri. Look for voice feedback and change to always. For some reason IOS9 changes this to hands free only

SIRI SAYS:

"no need for beeps! just press the button and start talking"

... Oh? ... try it ... Siri doesn't hear anything until after the 'confirm-vibrate' ... "just press the button and start talking" is not good advice.

I Don't think is a feature. My boyfriend, boss, even my mom's all of them are iPhone 6 and they all beep. My 6 Plus is the only one that doesn't beep. Did a factory reset and checked some suggestions here and still doesn't beeps.

kinda off topic. But weren't the iPhone 6 plus able to move the typing cursor with two fingers??

My iPhone 6 does not beep or vibrate and I have been all through the settings looking for anything. My coworkers iPhone 5 vibrates when you hold down the home button. I need one or the other behavior. I downloaded 9.0.1 and this changed nothing. It beeps when I say "Hey Siri", but not when I hold down the home button. I often listen to text messages and send text messages with Siri without ever looking at the display. It is disturbing that I get no feedback right away. I think it is a bug or a badly executed feature.

If the removal of the sound is not a bug, then why do I still hear it on the iPad Mini 4? Youd think that if they removed it on purpose, they'd start with the newest device. There's a bug here--we just don't know which version is correct.

I have low vision and I really need the feedback of the beeps... Apple IOS 9 has left me in the dark 😕 and having the beeps should be an accessibility option. It would even be okay if Siri said "WHAT!" or "Yes Dear".... just some sort of aural feedback is needed.

Bug or designed this is garbage and the beep needs to happen. Sometimes Siri is so slow you never know when to talk unless looking at your phone which is not possible a good share of the time. This is only one of at last twenty examples where the beep is essential. If by design please bring the beep back.
