Why has no one at Apple responded to this? It had been over 24 hours and you can't reply to their question? I have the exact same issue after the iOS9 update. I went to my local Apple store today and they had no idea, or any answers to the problem other then "We can restore it, but our restore could do damage to your phone" Well, I don't have the money for a new phone at the moment. This is a huge pain in the arse! Just for your information, it says that the upgrade was successful, cool! Before this I could slide my phone no problem, even after all the hard resets I can slide my phone, enter my pin and it comes to the updated successful screen, "just a few more steps to finish the upgrade". So it asks me to select my wifi preference, I do this and it asks me to slide the screen.... YEP, I can't friggin' slide it and I'm stuck on the white screen. We aren't all made of money and I had a perfectly good working phone this morning before the update and now I have a phone that is currently useless and you can't give us answers?  Very poor!!!

I have this exact problem too! After I upgraded to ios9 I restored my new iphone 6 again this morning to get all my contacts onto my phone, and it has appeared saying the update was successful but it says on the white screen slide to upgrade.  It won't let me slide.

My iPhone is exactly the same! I upgraded it last night and now its just a white screen that tells me to slide for upgrade yet won't let me do anything. Online it is saying that I need to buy a new phone as the upgrade has damaged it due to a fault with the upgrade. Well I am sorry but being a student who doesn't get student finance and has two part time jobs just to make sure I can eat every day doesn't exactly bode well for me being able to pay the hundreds of pounds needed for a new phone. It is Apple's update that has caused this and so I expect them to fix it. The fact that not a single Apple member has written back is absolutely appalling  and it does not surprise me at all that people are switching to non apple products now.

I have the same issue.  I upgraded last night and now it's just a brick.  Can't do anything with the device.  Can't believe that Apple hasn't even replied to any of these issues!!! What horrible customer service.

I would advise anyone reading this to NOT do the ios9 update - it is a nightmare so far

I have had the same problem and have been with out a phone all day I spent 1/2 hour on the phone to apple, the guy that I spoke to was lovely and really did try and help. he even said that he, has not done the download yet.

I cant get an appointment at an apple store until Wednesday which is a no help but if they have no clue then that is no good anyway. this the leaves me in the same situation as all of you with no phone. I have no landline at my house and a son at school they have no way of contacting me if something happened.   we got iphones as they are meant to be reliable

I managed to go back to Apple tonight and they did a restore of my phone (this sucked, because I lost all my texts and notes) the plus side is my phone is now back and working and seems to be running fine. If you can, try doing the restore via your itunes (it might tell you, you need to turn off your 'find iphone' setting on your phone before doing it) If this is the case, you'll have to do it via the Apple store. Try signing into your icloud account and you might be able to turn it off there. Hope all this makes sense, I'm not tech at all. Good luck.

I totally wish I had done my research before doing the update. I've warned my friends to keep away from it. When I was at the Apple store tonight they had several cases of this problem.

This is what I was afraid of. I tried to tell them today that there was no way I could replace my phone anytime soon. I too am a student and had the restore stuffed up, I would have been screwed! Try doing the restore via your itunes and you should be fine. All the best.

I too have the same stupid problem. I'm trying to figure out a fix.

I'm wondering if you can Backup your iPhone to iTunes and then erase iPhone then restore it. So far its not backing up Still working!!!

At this moment there are 195 other people with the same question; I'm guessing there are way more than that out there having the same frustrating issue. Shame on Apple for not responding to this!! I've always stayed loyal to Apple over the years, but this may just be my breaking up point!!!!
