IOS 9 wallet app sets screen brightness at full

Just updated to iOS 9 successfully. I have my screen brightness at minimum but when I opened the new Wallet app, the screen went to what seemed full brightness. I checked the quick settings panel by swiping up from the bottom but the brightness slider was still at minimum.

This is normal behavior for this app and was the same behavior when the app was called "Passbook" previously in iOS 8.

The purpose for the max brightness as is also the whole purpose of Wallet / Passbook, is to make your phone screen able to be scanned by barcode scanners at retail stores and other locations that you may have loyalty cards, tickets, and or passes to.

Don't just defend iPhone blindly. What's the use of this automated process when you could anytime do it from the control centre?

I don't understand why people defend iPhone for assuming all customers as slow learners and stupids. We can operate a F|ckin phone, we don't need everything inbuilt and locked in the way it is built with no scope for modification.
