Q: IOS 9 Cellular Data Usage Restrictions not working

Hello, I just updated several devices to IOS 9 and I noticed the Cellular Data Usage Restrictions are turned on. However, when I check the Cellular settings I am able to make changes under User Cellular Data for section. This is the same behavior with all upgraded devices I have. Is this a known issue?

Thanks for your help with cap data plan having this feature working is critical for my family plan and devices.

I am experiencing the exact same bug too on my iPhone 6 after upgrading to ios9. When I switch the toggle for cellular data for a specific app on, it actually moves but when I go back to settings (after one of the concerned apps told me that cellular data isn't enabled) the toggle is back on off, hence white and not green. All the apps, where cellular data was turned off before upgrading to ios9, are concerned. Its a serious problem, suddenly one can't use several apps at all (I got lost yesterday cause I couldn't enable cellular data for maps).

Apple, please fix that with the next update! It's a serious bug and it shouldn't be in a major release after the beta at all!

If feasible, as many people as possible should report the bug by emailing Apple http://apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

I have the same issue. I talked to AppleCare. The guy said the only way is to restore your iphone. The engineers works hard for this issue, it'll be solved soon.

I am doing a full restore. I did one last time too for another issue.

But I am getting the NEW rose-gold phone this Friday. So, I had to setup a new phone anyways...

Full restore works, until you turn your phone off and on ... then the bug is back...

Those engineers were not doing hard to fix it. They were doing hard to eat peanut butters.

    Update:

iOS 9.0.1 is out as of today Sept 23, 2015 and many of us were hoping that it would include a fix for the per-app cellular data toggle switch bug we are all experiencing.

Obviously it hasn't. I spoke with an Apple advisor today who confirmed my guess that this update 9.0.1 was too far in development to go back and change it to fix the per-app cellular data toggle switch bug.

So we'll have to wait for iOS 9.0.2. I wasn't given an ETA for when that might be, but the rep thought probably "this month". So that means about 7 days - but it could be longer.

We'll have to keep waiting. But it seems Apple's aware of the issue and working on a fix.

What worked for me is to erase the phone and restore the phone using a previous backup anytime before 9.0. When you restore it, the phone will still have the latest update (you don't have to downgrade)  but the cellular part will be working and on----- if (I believe) you had them turned on in that backup.

What happened was before the update I was traveling and turned most of the app's cellular data off. Then, I updated the phone when I had hotel wifi and those settings for app cellular got 'stuck'. So, whenever I turned it on and once I exit the menu, it will automatically turn off again. very annoying.

Nothing I tried helps. Only way is to go back to a previous backup that possibly had all of them turned on-- which fortunately, my previous backup did. I think if you have some apps turned off, you would be experiencing similar difficulties.

This is ridiculous, i'm paying for a service that i can't use at all even AFTER DOWNLOADING THE 9.0.1 UPDATE.

The problem persist and can't use data! So frustrating!!!
