Oct 14, 2015 5:07 AM in response to turingtest2by rhodesmk,Didn't work. Still get the "fatal error during installation" message when I try to uninstall any part of the program.

Oct 14, 2015 5:41 AM in response to zombie115by rhodesmk,I also have Windows 10, and followed your steps. Unfortunately, this did not work. For each of the first three items, I got a message that the installation failed. I next tried "repair" and got the message "can only be used for installed items" (or something along that phrase).
No joy...sick of this stuff!! So glad iTunes isn't my only source of music for my PC!

Thanks again!

Oct 27, 2015 1:04 PM in response to KraftyInSeattleby Rynni,Hi - Thank you very much for your great directions - I was finally able to get itunes up on my Win 7 pro x64 following your directions. Unfortunately my iphone won't sync now. I have run "repair" on AppleMobileDeviceSupport6464.exe and "bonjour64.msi" and no help there. My itunes sees my phone but freezes and does not complete the sync. Any suggestions?
Edit: I might have spoken too soon...my itunes is not working properly. Although I can access and edit my library/playlists, I am unable to pull up preferences or close/quit itunes without task manager forcing it to close.

Apr 25, 2016 2:19 AM in response to tusharfromthaneby turingtest2,For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.
Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with third party software.
Your library and device backups should be unaffected by these steps but there are links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.
If the issue persists and you have a 64-bit system try the for older video cards version which is a 64-bit installer for mostly 32-bit code, similar to all 64-bit versions of iTunes up to 12.1.
