Sep 18, 2015 1:21 PM in response to madisonk1013by K Shaffer,If you have a USB keyboard, and appropriate adapter to use standard USB with your newer
MacBook 12-inch recent build model, you should be able to access all the computer OS X
by use of an external wired USB keyboard. Even a windows PC keyboard can work, if you
use the correct keys that translate to those for the OS X.
If you have no Apple usb keyboard, you can use a windows pc keyboard; see the following:
• PC Keyboard Mapping for use with Mac running OS X - microsoft support:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/970299
• Boot Camp: About keyboards and key assignment for Microsoft Windows - Apple Support
If you do not have an adapter for USB-C contact an apple store, or check for other sources.
And if you do not have the new small 12-inch MacBook, then you'd not need this adapter.
Good luck & happy computing!
