With IOS 9 did they do away with Siri respond by speech?

I just tried it on my iPhone 6+ and it speaks to me. It did take awhile for the text reply on the screen to be spoken by Siri
Nope that was no help are you running the new IOS? I tried turning all the settings on and off pretaining to sound and still only types the response, has to be a new setting i cant find or I have to do the dreaded reset.
Yes, I have iOS 9 and I just checked my iPad 4 with iOS 9 and no problem.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
What restore a back up and have to reload ios 9 how is that going to help thats not solving the problem
I had the same issue. I restored my phone to factory settings and set phone up as new phone (which fixed the problem) and then restored from iCloud backup and the issue was still fixed.

my way is a little extreme but i did it this way to avoid reseting some things like passwords and touch id after fixing it which normally after restoring would be reset. Basically first go to download blog.com download the last iOS version (8.1.4) then after downloading it, open iTunes, and for mac , Option Click the check for update button then update to the firmware you downloaded, after completion simply re update back to IOS 9 and this way you basically did like a master reset but everything would be there and you won't have to re do touch id or anything. of course as usual please back up you phone just for insurance purposes.
I've noticed this.. However I also notice if you set it to American Female Siri(at least that's what I have tested) she will talk to you which mean something is wrong with the British Siri.. I'm using iOS 9 on iPhone 6s
