Sep 17, 2015 1:25 AM in response to eido75by D.Cohen,Hi! Turn your iPad off. After that, force it to start. To do this, press Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and hold them for at least 10 seconds.
If this does not help, take a look these Apple Support articles:
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on - Apple Support
Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.
As a final step, try the recovery mode. Turn your device off, then plug it to your computer with the home button pressed. Keep the Home button pressed until you see the iTunes logo on the screen of your iPhone. After that on your computer you should see the iTunes window saying your iPhone needs to be restored to factory settings. Click on the restore button.

Sep 17, 2015 1:48 AM in response to eido75by D.Cohen,Have you ever connected your device to iTunes? If so, use the instructions below.
On your computer, open iTunes - Preferences - Devices. There should be the latest backup.
There may be some backups is iCloud as well (if you previously enabled this feature).

Sep 17, 2015 1:54 AM in response to D.Cohenby eido75,Nothing on iCloud,
Last backup was from 2014... It's more than nothing. The HomeButton/WakeButton thing doesn't work.
I'll try the factory reset.
Next time, run some tests before releasing an update.
Thanks anyway.

Sep 18, 2015 4:30 AM in response to Briansyddallby jmborer,Hello,
I have the same issue, but I have a backup. The problem seems to be the upgrade from iOS 7 to iOS 9. Whatever solution I tried, when the iPad is restored from iOS 7 backup, I am stuck. Only solution for now is a complete clean install of iOS 9 and a loss of all data and settings... Thank you Apple.
Maybe the solution would have been to upgrade first to iOS 8 and then iOS 9, but this seems no longer possible...
