ios9 wifi not working

Hello,


Since updating to iOS 9 I cannot connect to my work wifi. It keeps telling me the password is incorrect even though it is identical to my PC which is connected. I have an iPhone 5s 16gb. wifi at home works fine.

Reset your network settings.

Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings

Reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.

  • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
  • Press and hold on the Home button
  • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

Hi,


Same problem here, works at home but not at the office. I upgraded my iPad Air 2 yesterday and did my iPhone 5s today at the office (have not tried my iPhone at home yet). My iPad and iPhone did'nt "see" the office wifi, but if I shared the internet connection from my iPhone and connected my iPad the network showed up and I could connect, strange.


I have updated two other iPhones one 5s and one 6, they have the same problem. I did change from WPA to WPA2 on the wifi controller (Merü), same problem.

I will do a reboot of the controller when everybody has left but I don't think it will fix the problem.

I am having the same problem. I am at my office building trying to log in as Guest on my iPhone, but keep getting the message Unable to Connect to Network. This started after I updated to IOS 9. I cannot downgrade to IOS 8 because I need to back up my cloud first, and to do that I need wi-fi! I have tried resetting my network settings but that is not working. Help!

Hello all, I have here the same issue: after updating to ios 9 , I can't turn on WiFi on my iphone 6.

This is really annoying! Did all the tips posted here, reset network, reset all settings and the problem persists.

Why apple released this update? I had the same problems with ios 8.4.1 but there when I reset the entire phone, it began to work again,

but now What?

There are different connection issues reported on this thread, from office setups to 3g not working. Without additional diagnostic steps it would be difficult to resolve. My general recommendations for Wi-Fi issues (not cellular) are:


1) Upgrade to iOS 9. The Networking Routine was changed in iOS 9.

2) Perform a Forced Restart: Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Allow device to restart.

3) Reset Network Settings: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Rejoin the Network again.

4) Change to Google's DNS: Settings > Wi-Fi > Click on the Network, Delete all numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or alternatively 8.8.4.4

5) Reboot Router/Modem: Unplug from power for 2 minutes and plug again. Update Router Firmware (check manufacturer’s support website). Verify your router is Wi-Fi certified.

6) Determine if other Wi-Fi devices on network are working well (other iOS devices, Macs, PCs).

7) Try device at another Network, i.e., neighbors’, public coffee house, etc.

8) Restore the Device (ask for additional for details if desired).

I updated two devices to iOS 9 yesterday - was having issues with iOS 8 but no longer with iOS 9. Good luck...
