iOS 9 Notes not syncing
I noticed that since I updated to iOS 9 the App Notes is no longer synchronising with my MacBook Pro via iCloud.
iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9

I am having this same problem. Please let us know if you figure it out.
This is so many pages now, forgive me if I missed the answer. I have one Notes account - on my iPhone 6+, and on my Mac (notes v. 3.3) OS x 10.10.5.
Notes I make on my iPhone are not syncing to the Mac. My Reminders are identical on both, meaning the Reminders I add to my iPhone show up on my Mac, but not Notes. Why isn't Notes syncing? How do I fix it?
Thank you-

"Notes" is an application, not an account. The Notes app can be the host application for different types of email accounts, like iCloud or Yahoo, or Notes can be set to not use any email account (the notes remain only on the device).
So if your notes are not syncing between your iPhone and Mac, there could be many reasons why. But I suspect that your problem is that your iPhone is on iOS 9 and your Mac is on Yosemite, and you opted to "update" the Notes format on your iPhone (a new notes format is available in iOS 9, but that new format is not compatible . If that's what you did, that is what breaks the syncing between your devices.
If this is not what you did, maybe explain your situation in more detail (i.e. iPhone iOS version, are you using the same iCloud account on iPhone and Mac,etc.)
Hi RMPlimsoul,
I don't know whether I opted to update Notes on my iPhone. However, Reminders app (?) is working. Any reminders I made on iPhone appear on Mac. However, Notes do not.
You can tell if you updated Notes if you see "tools" at the bottom of a note (camera icon to insert a photo, or a squiggly line to draw, etc.) You can also tell by tapping the upper-left corner ("< Notes") and see if you have a "Recently Deleted" category. These are all new features in iOS 9 Notes, and are not compatible with Yosemite or earlier. But by default, iOS 9 Notes retains the old format and you're warned if/when you choose to update to the new format. Maybe you missed that detail.
I presume that you're using iOS 9?
Thank you - I have the icons for camera and squiggly on iPhone notes. I had the iPhone store activate it, as the iPhone 5 from which stuff was transferred was on its last dying breath and I needed help. So I may have missed the update Notes question that way.
The iPhone is version 9.1.
A not so graceful work around is to copy your notes and paste into calendar. If more and more of us complain, perhaps able will rethink their philosophy. Information on my note is proprietary and I don't want it on the Apple cloud. It maybe the same for you also.

Apple is no longer supporting syncing notes to outlook. I am very concerned, because what is next calendar and contacts? A not so graceful work around is to copy your notes and paste into calendar. Are you willing to update your Mac to El Capitan? That would solve your issue.
I have a windows PC and very happy with it. My issue is Notes no longer updates with outlook. It is also a philosophy issue - those notes belong to me and I don't want them on Apple's cloud. Who owns the information on Apple's cloud and who has access to it. Lots of questions concerning personal privacy and information. Apple will give a corporate answer, but for them there is a bottomline dollar to push us to their cloud.

Do you mean an Outlook.com email account? If so, guess what? Your notes are in the cloud, just a different cloud and no more secure than iCloud.
Or do you mean notes that you keep in Outlook, the program? That would imply that you were syncing notes on your PC through iTunes to your device, is that what you're saying no longer works?
Notes from my ipod was syncing to the application on MSOutlook notes on my PC. Apple is no longer supporting this function. I'm concerned because whats next? My contacts and calendar on Apple's cloud? That information belongs to me and I should be able to choose where it goes, not be forced to live on their Apple cloud 9.
Yours is a completely different issue than this thread, please start a new one and you may get some advice. Your issue is very similar to one that came up once before but it was corrected in an iOS update, but it is completely unrelated to what's being discussed here.
This discussion is the closest to my problem. I have already talked to numerous Apple techs. They no longer support the syncing of notes from my ipod to MSOutlook application. It is not technical, it is Apple's policy in my case. I have to search on the cloud or copy my notes into my calendar. Its pretty daunting because my notes are 2K - 4K long. I had a fit when I could not longer pick them up on my pc. But get ready, Apple is gradually pushing everyone to their cloud.
But it is not the same issue being described here. This is a technical support forum, we don't discuss Apple's policies here.
If it will help you move along, look for a 3rd party app that syncs notes locally without using any sort of cloud, like Notebooks (I'm sure there are others).
