ios 9 now shows over 10000 unread emails this disappears if i switch off icloud , no unread emails in my email account
any known fix?
iPad Air, iOS 9, Same on iphone 4s
Tap Edit, then Mark All, then Mark all as read. That should fix your problem. Any new emails from then will be marked unread and your emails should all be back to normal.
FIrst thing i tried but makes no difference , also sync with mac , reboot , cleared all trash sent spam etc ,still showing 10680 , new emails add to total and are subtracted on reading , only happened on ios 9 upgrade !
seem to have cleared it ,problem was in second account btyahoo , deleted account and reinstalled , dont understand why by switching off icloud account the unread disappeared before i got round to reinstalling bt . Lets see if the fix is permenant ?
I've got the same problem. I've marked them all as read and temporarily the high number disappears. Then when I close mail/turn phone off etc and then reopen mail it "downloads" the same "read" emails again and re shows the same amount as unread AGAIN. It's driving me nuts.
I'm just about to downgrade to iOS 8. something as I'm also noticing that I can't hold the wifi signal in public places even with a strong signal UNLESS I turn 3G off completely. I thought the whole point of the new feature of wifi assist was that if you turned it ON it would seamlessly move to 3G from a poor wifi signal. If I turned this off (which is HAVE) , in theory it would try to stick to the "dodgy" wifi if at all possible. Hate iOS 9 so far.
I Am having a similar problem. Except my unread email is in the all account and not in any of the individual accounts. Going to try and delete the account and try again.
