Q: New Macbook 12" USB Target Disk Mode

Hello, I'm trying to connect my new Macbook 12" as external disk to my MacbookPro 15" Retina (late 2013) using USB Target Disk Mode as stated in https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204360

I've bought this cable: http://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B00PU057JY?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detai lpage_o02_s00#productDetails

but unfortunately when I start the Macbook holding the "T" button it shows the USB Symbol on screen but when connected to any MBP USB port, the disk doesn't show in Finder. I've tried also to open "Disk Utility" and the disk is not present and even checking the "System Profiler" under USB nothing seems to be connected.

Furthermore in the new Macbook "Startup Disk" Settings page the "Target Disk Mode" button is not present and I've not enabled FileVault.

What's wrong?

Thanks in advance for your help.
