My question is in regards to my Macbook Pro 15 inch early 2011 model:

I have a Macbook Pro 15 inch early 2011 model which came with and still has a total of "4 gb" located in 2 slots - are 2 gb memory cards.

I have asked when having my notebook in for service as too the possibility of upgrading the memory in size, and the response has always been "No" it's not possible.

But after looking here on the Apple "How To" and confirming my make and model it shows that it is possible.

Anybody know any reason why i would have been "told no" or why the Apple "how to" pages state differently?

Has anybody here had or have the same model as I and have upgraded the size to a total of "8gb" ?
