"untrusted enterprise developer"

When trying to launch an app you get the message "untrused enterprise developer". You cannot open the app. This just started happening since upgrading to iOS 9. I have seen that you can go to Settings - General and profiles in order to trust the app, but I don't have the profile option under settings. I need this application for work, please help.

You need to get whoever provided the app to give you an updated profile. This change in behavior in iOS 9 is probably to fix a vulnerability in iOS 8 and earlier versions that allowed malware apps to be installed from links in a website. iOS just checked that a profile existed, and did not verify that the malware app's signature matched the signature in the profile.

I was able to resolve this issue, we were having from an in-house developed app as well. As described above, typically you are prompted with "Trust this Developer" option and then the app would run as intended. However after upgrading to iOS 9 we were not seeing that option anywhere, and a little digging around we were able to find the location to "Trust" the developer.

Under System Settings, go to General, scroll down to Device Management - this is where your Profiles reside, select the offending Profile and Trust. Hope this helps anyone with the same issue.
