Words with friends freezing up after upgrade to ios 9
iPhone 5, iOS 6
I have an iPhone 6 running iOS 9 and WWF doesn't freeze up on me. Try completing closing the app (double click you home button and swipe up on the app) then reboot your iPhone by holding in the home and lock button until the Apple logo shows up. See if that helps at all.
Same problem here after upgrading to iOS 9 on iPhone 6. I've tried the suggestion above. Also tried deleting and redownloading the app with no luck.
Same issue, iPhone 5S just after upgrade to ios 9.
App opens cleanly, responds for 8-10 seconds and then freezes entirely.
Tried completely closing app, removing and uninstalling, clearing leaderboard data (a games function), and rebooting phone all without any impact on behavior. This is consistent, as in it does this 100% of the time.
Same response with an iPhone 5s. Tried all of the tricks already mentioned in this topic with no success. Time to contact the developer.
Same here. Updated yesterday. Words with Friends freezes after a few seconds. Has to be closed, and reopened. Then again it will freeze after some seconds of trying to actually play. iPhone 6 standard.
Zynga is aware, and has a work around.
From the iOS Home Screen
- Navigate to Settings
- Navigate to Game Center, which will prompt you to log in
- You can either choose to log in or cancel
- Re-launch Words with Friends
Having same issues. Nothing works to fix problem.
