Find MAC address from time machine back-up on external HD

My Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard, OS X v. 10.6.8. was stolen. How can I find the MAC address of the computer from the Time Machine back-up made directly onto an external HD connected via USB?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Navigate to the ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost folder on the backup. The files there will contain the MAC address in their names.
