Oct 6, 2015 8:11 PM in response to leJuan5150by JuSTBLeSSeD,IM not sure if I'm the one who started this post, but I was def one of the first to report this issue, so for Weeks I've been having this issue and tried absolutely everything that apple told me and thatbthisnthreadntold me. NOTHING WORKED, that's is until a reply a couple of hours agO. I'm not sure who posted it, but said to delete a prior back ON THE DEVICE. now I've read I million times to do that, but inwouldnalwaysngo to the computer and delete from iTunes. But this person said to go to settings.> general > and so on to delete the back up that was on my phone. Unbelievably that worked. I was able to sync and back up with iCloud over the air again the second time failed but the third time work again so at least all of my home kit and everything else has the latest sync on them

Oct 7, 2015 2:29 AM in response to theone3388by kidultlife,I have no solutions for that as my own backup does not work unless I delete manually and then back up an "empty" slot.

Oct 7, 2015 6:35 AM in response to ephemeral761by kidultlife,This is actually what I have been doing but it's not a long term solution as it doesn't really fix the bug/issue that your iCloud backup doesn't automatically backup when it's charging and on wi-fi. It doesn't work to backup manually after you have deleted the old backup once.
For any new backup session, you want to complete, I would have to delete the existing backup for each new backup I want to conduct so it doesn't actually fix anything but it will help you backup whatever new items or apps, you have added during the last backup of course but the issue still exists and it's annoying to manually delete each backup instead of it working properly and basically overwriting the old backup as it normally would.

Oct 7, 2015 6:42 AM in response to ar dalby kidultlife,Not a long term solution, as I have to delete the old backup every single time to be able to back anything up. That is annoying and it also doesn't fix the issue with the automatic backup when charging your phone overnight.

Oct 7, 2015 7:31 AM in response to leJuan5150by tweilemann,I have been having this issue for the past three weeks as well. After many hours with Apple support and of my own troubleshooting (restores, resets etc), I attached my phone to a logging program on my mac as one poster suggested. I was able to eventually then trace my issue to my company's device management profile. Once I removed my corporate account, back up worked correctly. I have a ticket into our IT to look at the profile and troubleshoot further. I hope this helps someone else!

Oct 7, 2015 7:42 AM in response to leJuan5150by LoPhatt,I also have bugs where the:
- Text Replacement freezes.
- Text Messages freezes
- iPhone 6 I use will do an overall freeze.
I have to hold the Power and Home buttons to restart my device. It needs to be fixed as in RIGHT NOW!!! After the iPhone 6 restarts, it works fine for another while. Until the next update, I may have to continue these processes. Each time I do restart, of course, it not a good time.

Oct 7, 2015 10:12 AM in response to DDVby cbud97,- Thank you for posting this! I removed Facebook and then immediately ran ICloud Backup and it worked! First time it's worked since 9/18 which was right before downloading 9.0. We'll see how auto backup works however with Facebook reinstalled.

Oct 7, 2015 11:19 AM in response to amandafrombiggleswadeby appleexpert1,I have found a fix if you are using a MDM Software on your iPhone like AirWatch. We had a restriction for iCloud share that blocked the iCloud Drive. Once I disabled that then my iCloud Backup started to work again.

Oct 7, 2015 12:32 PM in response to leJuan5150by Dilijans, the same problem with both devices.
It turned out that Apple had automatically enabled backup of media files to iCloud. I never back up my photos and videos.
Senior advisor couldn't help, I had to buy additional 50 Gb. But it didn't solve the problem.
After some days I noticed that my free space became 34. Back up started working.
Then I turned media back up off and my copy became 1gb as before.
with second device I didn't want to buy additional space (I have two accounts).
I contacted Apple support again - the same advisor. She told me would be better to buy additional space! ***!
They even don't want to solve the problem.
Problem solved when I followed your advice (7 steps).
thank you. But apple's care leaves much to be desired.

Oct 7, 2015 5:23 PM in response to cbud97by bgkarma,Hey folks! Holy ****, it worked for me finally!
Let me tell you what happened! I have had this problem for way over a month since I jumped on the public beta for both of my devices back in August.
First the trouble was with my iPad but it quickly just fixed itself. On my iPhone however, no success. I've read these forums forwards and backwards... Only today, Cbud's post caught my eye and I tried deleting Facebook from my iPhone and I hit Backup.
The interesting thing here is that once it got going, it said there were only ten minutes left. I watched intently until it got down near the end, I'm talking like 95%... and the ******* crapped out on me!
So then I closed all of my apps and hard rebooted and this time made sure to toggle the backups switch off and back on. This time around once it gave me a minute countdown for about a half hour.
Sure enough it counted all the way down to completion! Bad ***!
I don't know what the **** is up with Facebook but I think everyone knows by now that it's a dubiously programmed app. I'll still reinstall it to see, but how cool!!!
Thanks to everyone, and I hope this helps!

Oct 7, 2015 7:08 PM in response to JuSTBLeSSeDby jazcan,Depending on how many apps you have, you could uncheck all except one then backup from there. If that one is successful then add another app & so on.
