Ipad DHCP client does not work

Hi all,

I have the first Ipad air.

I found out that the WiFi network no longer worked.

It was a strange think because I was able to see he SSID but I could not join to the network.

So I gave a static IP address to the WiFi network configuration and magically I was able to join to the network.

So I suspect there is some problem to the DHCP client.

I already reset the network setting without success. I upgraded my device to IOS 9 too but it is still doing the same.

Do you have any Idea?

Thank You

Regards

Hi there,

have you checked the log file of the DHCP-Server? If a client is refused, that file usually contains valuable details. Reasons for rejection can be (not limited to) depleted leases (all available addresses are currently assigned), strict security settings or a malfunction of the server itself. Can other computers obtain IP-addresses in that particular WLAN?
