AHT will not start late 2008 MBP with yosemite 10.10.5. tried holding D on power ups. Tried holding option-D on power ups. to no AHT

You need the original installer DVD that came with the computer when it was new.
i dont have the original CD. Is there another way to run the test? Its a late-2008 running yosemite 10.10.5. I have a snow leopard cd will that work?
The white Snow Leopard disk does NOT have the AHT on it. Download the appropriate AHT from here:
