The edit button on the phone app disappears when trying to delete recent calls after iOS 9 update

when I have multiple recent calls that I want to delete, the edit button is missing. This started after iOS 9 update.

What is really strange is that when I have multiple calls in my "recent call" list on my phone, I can swipe the first one to the left and delete it, then the "edit button" appears allowing me to clear the remainder.

I have the identical problem. I appreciate your reminding me to swipe left as an alternative, in the meantime.

i am having the same exact problem. You are not alone And when you swipe one of the missed calls it pops back up. The issue started ever since I went to 9.
