Another thread I was following looks like it has been taken down for turning in to a childish rant. That can only make Apple think we are not serious, and therefore unworthy of their attention. We all know that there is an issue, that is not in dispute. The only real way to get any action is to keep up the feedback form pressure and direct contact with Apple support. Undoubtedly, for whatever reason, the problem is the result of a fail with iOS9. Keep pushing folks; but against Apple, not each other.......

He needs to be directly told about the email problem along with the URL for this board with its 80,000 to date views. I tried emailing him at the normal @apple.com format and it bounced back. If anyone has a working email address for him, please post it.

I've submitted *numerous* feedback forms on this issue over the last 6 weeks but no response at all from Apple.
Great to have this community and constructive / supportive advice to help navigate through this.

Oct 30, 2015 5:21 AM in response to peter144aby S2419,I sent an email to the Wall Street Journal Editor (wsj.ltrs@wsj.com) explaining the iOS9 problems and that they should be reporting on the problem in their Personal Technology articles. The WSJ immediately forwarded my email to Apple and within hours someone in Apple's Corporate Executive Relations contacted me and they are setting up a telephone appointment with a Senior Engineer for later today.
I have no illusions as to the power of the Corporate Executive Relations Department. It seems that every large company has a similar department staffed with 'gate keepers acting as a liaison buffer to the executives.
I am now going to begin an email campaign and send Apple's problems to Forbes, Fortune, Barrons, Investors Business Daily, etc. If we can get this iOS9 horror reported in the business press, I believe the pressure on Apple will be magnified. I suggest that everyone on this thread start writing to business and financial journals and continue complaining to apple/feedback.

I link them to this thread in every email. And sending in my feedback form daily. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the outstanding move. I also sent to Walt Mossberg who for 20+ yrs was the WSJ's tech writer and an Apple specialist.

Everyone in this community will eagerly await hearing how your call with the Senior Engineer went. I expect you saw an earlier post that identified Craig Federighi as Apple's SVP for software engineering. Thanks again for your good efforts.

Settings>Generat>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

Ridiculous for such a huge, massively resourced company that what appear to be simple bugs can't be quickly sorted. Would Jobs have stayed quiet this long, I wonder?
So, apart from sending emails to Apple, I've been trying Altamail, which I have to say - having got used to its quirky interface - is really quite cool in terms of advanced functionality, well ahead of IOS Mail in many ways. The POP emails are stored of course, but using attachments, printing to a shared computer with their printing app, etc. is really nice (no need for AirPrint). So silver linings to Apple's incompetence/arrogance in not dealing with this. -
Oct 30, 2015 5:48 PM in response to Bob Portalby peter144a,I've been using this for several weeks in parallel with the Apple built in email.. Needed to talk with company to get correct settings. So far, Altamail has NOT deleted received, sent or trash messages even after the received messages have been subsequently deleted from the server (unlike Apple which deletes everything fairly quickly after server deletion) so it does work.
However, it is not nearly as "clean" as the apple interface. It has much more information and is harder to use but has some good features (ability to list an entire thread for reading, deleting or emailing) ; message sender / receiver ID by small photo or initials). I think the paid version allows additional folders.
If Apple gets its act together, I may drop it. Meanwhile, it is extremely helpful.
