Goodmorning everybody,
yesterday I updated my ipad air 2 to ios 9. Everythings is fine but the home screen doesn't go landscape. All the other apps can be viewed in landscape mode.
Can anybody help me?

If your iPad has slide switch you can On or Off it

If it does not help:
Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on this device.
Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

If this does not help, restore your device to factory settings. Note that this will erase the data from your device.

Try this:
Turn screen orientation lock on. Power down device. Power on device. Turn screen orientation lock off. Check it out. Did it work?
IF this doesn't work then back up your device vie iTunes, redownload iOS 9 and your apps and try the steps again.
Unfrtumately the Apple Store guys told me to reinstall the software first. A chat with a briliant Apple.com support person gave me the first suggestion after the redownload didn't work. It was my iPhone 6 Plus that was the problem but it might work with iPad.

After switching off and on, locking on and off, reset and restore, at last it works not completely well.
If I enter in an another app, then I turn the ipad, esc into the home screen, and after a while it turns as well. I haven't tried the operation suggested by Paolo00799. Next time I have to switch off my iPad I'll do it.
I think that there are some issues with the orientation in iOS 9, since I noticed a couple of photos with the wrong orientation.

Hi,
I've been having this issue as well and finally resolved it, so I hope that this will work for whoever else has this issue.
In addition to my home screen not rotating properly (until I swiped the screen or opened a folder), I noticed that the rotation on my lock screen was not working properly either; most of the screen would rotate fine based on the orientation, but the menu bar at the top (with the time, battery icon, and other icons) would not rotate along with the screen.
After extensive tinkering (hard restart, reset all settings, restore to factory settings, playing around with any setting that affects the menu bar at the top, etc.), the one setting that fixed it was toggling off "Speak Screen" in General > Accessibility > Speech (this is the function that reads the screen with a two finger swipe from the top bezel). Once I toggled this setting off and performed a hard restart (holding power and home buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo shows up), proper home screen rotation was restored.
Not sure that this will resolve the issue for everyone, but I figure I should share this in the hope that it will help some.

you're right. I've tried to switch off the "Speak Screen" option, and all went fine. But that's a feature sometimes I use, so I cannot anable disanable each time.
Nevermind, during the last days this bug seemed to happen only if I rotate the screen in block mode. Hope the last update fix it for good. (I haven't tried yet)
