How to find the original battery serial number

Hello,

This is a bit of a long story...

I have a mid 2011 13" macbook air, which had a technical problem, i went to a local repair shop which specializes in mac.

After a long waiting period they finally called me and said the mac is fixed. They told me that the motherboard had corrosion and they also needed to replace the battery since it was causing problems. I approved the fix and the price and today i went to get my mac.

To my surprise the mac was not fixed 😟 and i instructed him to put back the original battery since it does not seem to be the problem and i am not willing to pay the cost for a new one, After some persistance on my side, he agreed to put back the original battery warning my that it was "dead".

I do not trust that he had put the original battery back.

Is there a way for me to find what was the original battery serial number, the one that was originally assembled?

Thanks,

Elad.
