Q: Upgrade to iso 9 failed slide to upgrade will not let me

Hi,

my son tried to upgrade his Iphone 5c to iso 9, the phone turns on but it will not let him go past the 'slide to upgrade' .

Can someone please advise what I do, I have tried to reboot phone holding the start and button together for 10 seconds but this isn't working

Help please

Have you tried following the steps in this article?

If the Slide to Upgrade screen won't go away after you update to iOS 9 - Apple Support

Hi

Yes I tried the article, but for some reason ITunes will not let me do a backup - I'm afraid my son hadn't backed up the phone previously. When I start the backup it hangs in ITunes.

Hi

He backed the phone up in July 2015 but to the cloud, but because he needs to go onto the phone and turn off find the phone he can't back up to this. I'm not sure why the phone will not back up as I have successfully backed up my iphone and my husbands within the last hour.

Thoughts?

Have you tried restarting your computer?

If you have another computer you can try on that one.

I went to the apple store this weekend and spoke to a genius bar consultant. He said this problem cannot be solved at this time, and we have to await a patch to the IOS.

This of course is... infuriating.
