Sep 18, 2015 6:17 AM in response to Csound1by ya0037,It was $1.29 and they changed it to $1.49.

"APPLE email:"
We recently updated our iCloud storage plans and are increasing your storage from 20GB to 50GB. With more storage you can store all your photos and videos in iCloud Photo Library, save all your documents in iCloud Drive and keep them up-to-date everywhere.
The price of your current iCloud storage plan will also increase with this update. Your storage plan of 50GB will automatically renew on your current renewal date and your card on file will be charged at the new price of $1.49 each month until you change or cancel your plan.

I do not think this is legal,
If you think it is illegal call the police, but they will only tell you that it is not illegal.

Sep 18, 2015 6:28 AM in response to Csound1by ya0037,How come it is not illegal!
I sell you st and you start to use it then I upgrade without your consent and ask for more and if you are not happy you can cancel or can not do anything? So what about the time which I spent to upload stuff on icload and removed them from google drive and dropbox?
I have to spent quite a lot of time to store and backup my stuff again?

Sep 18, 2015 6:40 AM in response to ya0037by bobwild,IT is not illegal because you and Apple made business deal. 20gb of ICloud storage for $1.29. You agrreed to pay, and agreed to the terms of the agreement which stated that Apple can change or cancel the service whenever they choose. Well they have changed the service, and they told you they were changing the service. Then you had to decide do I want to pay an additional 20 pennpies for more than double the storage or do I cancel the service.
Very simple business decision for you to make. What are you going to do?

Because it is not illegal, but you can sue Apple if you like.

Sep 18, 2015 6:46 AM in response to bobwildby ya0037,Maybe you are right and I can not do anything, because I trusted APPLE and started to use the service, so who knows what they will decide tomorrow maybe they wanna increase to $20 and if I have all of my data on icloud what I can do I have to pay! Haven't I?
Anyway, thanks for the response. I think I will cancel and stay with the one who are more trustworthy to make a deal with.

Sep 18, 2015 6:55 AM in response to ya0037by bobwild,This is the way all service businesses operate.
IF Apple increases the charge to $20 or any other amount, they will inform you and all the subscribers. Just like this time you have the choice to pay the new amount or cancel. Easy-Peazy.
Never depend on a "cloud" service for the integrity of your data. You should always have your data backed up on your own media. if the "cloud" disappears with your data, you still have all your data.
Good decision. But be aware the other cloud services can and will do the same thing as Apple. Hopefully not as often.
