IOS 9 update - Voiceover bug

I have updated IOS 9 on my ipad. accidentally i swiched on the voiceover option. The screen went off instantly and the ipad was totally out of my control. the ipad was forced restarted twice, but even after re-starting the voiceover takes the control of the ipad. there is no way we can give in the passcode and take back the control.

nothing appears on the screen, so there is no way we can take back control, i feel. Please help, as ipad has become useless.

When you tap the screen with three fingers, what happens?

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I believe that in iOS 8.4 a three-finger tap would bring up the VoiceOver menu, such that one could zoom out or cancel VoiceOver. I just upgraded last night so I don't yet have any experience with possible changes to this functionality.

It sounds like screen curtain is on. Try a 3 finger triple tap. You can also use Siri to turn off VoiceOver. Lastly, you can you iTunes. The directions are in this article: iOS: Home screen icons are magnified or large - Apple Support (it says zoom, but it is the same for VoiceOver in iTunes) -AJ

I am using IOS 9.0.2

I have inadvertantly activated screen curtain, I tried to use the three-finger triple tap, but that toggles the speech on and off.

I resolved my own problem by turning off Speech under the VoiceOver tab in settings.

I assume that the speech option overrides the screen curtain option for the three-finger triple-tap.
