I accepted the IOS9 upgrade and my iPhone 6 plus is stuck on "slide to upgrade".  I cannot do a restore, even a full system restore, because find my iPhone is turned on.  How am I supposed to turn it off, when I can't get past the "slide to upgrade" error?  Apple needs better quality controls.  This problem is all over the internet and the suggestions are to do a restore.  What if you can't do the restore because you can't turn off Find My IPhone?

This is frustrating.  I'm a long time apple advocate, but this is getting old.  This will be my third appointment with a genius (oh and they're booked for two days so no phone for two days) and I've only had this phone for about 6 months!  It is not just the older iphones.  It's the nearly new ones too.  I use this phone for work.  I can't keep having issues like this.  They need to test their upgrades much better before they release them and make sure they are backwards compatible too.

This doesn't work if you have "find my iPhone" turned on.  You can't turn it off because you're stuck on the slide to upgrade error message.

I gave up and tried a full system restore, knowing it was going to wipe out about 60g of data I had on my phone and still can't get it to work because find my iphone is turned on.

I upgraded this morning to iOS9 on my iPhone 5S without issue and I had Find My iPhone

enabled.  Also, never saw this so called "Slide to Update".  Perhaps it might have been

the fact that I upgraded via USB with iTunes 12.3?
