how do i change the mobile number linked with my macbook, i recently linked my iPhone to my macbook but have since changed the number through pac code but when i go onto my macbook it still shows the old number as the number from my iPhone how can i change this to my new number?

I suspect you have to sign out of Messages and FaceTime on the Mac and then sign back in so the new number can be fetched.
it is also showing up on my iTunes as the old number

I Received a new pay monthly sim through ee on my new contract that had a new number, that day after setting up my phone I entered the pac code for my old phone to get my old number back. I got a text the next day saying my number had been transferred but even on the phone app on my iPhone 6 it still says the number I changed is still my current number
Are you saying that the number the came with the new SIM is still present and not the old number to which your reverted to?
I would contact support for the entity that sold you the SIM and who you contacted to get the old number back.
