I set my computer to go to sleep, but it takes like 5 pushes of the power button to turn it on. Starts up to lock screen (set to no password required after sleep) its a full boot, so its not in sleep mode.
Also every time I start my computer, the sound is muted and I have to manually unmute it

Do you have any unknown devices in Device Manager? Does your Windows side show ACPI drivers in Device Manager?
device manager > computer > ACPI x64-based PC
under system devices, i see ACPI power button and fixed feature button. also Microsoft ACPI-compliant system and ACPI-compliant embedded controller

Can you run the following two procedures and test?

went to OS X, did both steps, went to windows, sound still muted on start up, sleep is actually shutting down the computer when in windows, sleep works fine in OS X
Can you check Power Options and Advanced Settings to see if Sleep is enabled? Do you have a Hiberfil.sys file on the Windows side?
sleep should enabled, ill double check. i have it set to sleep after 4 hours.
how do i find Hiberfil.sys? just type it in the search bar?

Yes. Let your Update finish, take your time.
sound problem appears to be fixed, 2 restarts sound not muted anymore. turned off hibernate, i think that could have been the problem. took 2 power button pushes to turn on though, seems strange still, but its not a full restart

came home from work, took 5 pushes of the power button ~5s each to turn on, full reboot. checked power settings again, hibernate is off, sleep is on after 5 hours. seems to be a problem when it automatically goes to sleep, as putting it to sleep on its own doesn't do a full reboot or multiple power button pushes.
You are using a scheduled sleep which is problematic. If a sleep is manually initiated, and then it is woken up, it seems to work fine. Please disable scheduled sleeps, and do manual sleep when you leave the Mac or let the display and disks sleep after inactivity.
i have the display and disks setup for sleep after hours of inactivity. its not really scheduled.
is this a windows problem or a boot camp problem?
To ascertain if it is Windows or Drivers (unlikely, but possible), look in Event Viewer and see if the drivers are being loaded properly for when you try to wake up. Even if you have to reboot, you should still be able to see events. If you see any PnP events, then it is a Windows issue.

it appears the problem is not shutting down properly into sleep on an automatic timer, and somehow just shuts the computer off, or crashes
You can try repairing BC Drivers. Can you check the version and vendor of the ACPI Driver?
