Hi Can anyone help me please? I'm trying to create a ringtone and although I've done it before since the latest update to iTunes 12.3.0.44 I now can't. I can't create an AAC version. Is it just me?

You have to change the settings within iTunes 12.3.
For Windows: Open iTunes and go to the "Edit" menu and click "Preferences...".
For Mac: Open iTunes and click "Preferences" to open the "General Preferences" window.
Where it says "When you insert a CD..." click the button beside it that says "Import Settings".
Where it says "Import Using" beside it click the drop down menu and select "AAC Encoder" and click "Ok".

Thanks for that information. "Create AAC" is still not showing up after this process, however...are there any other setting that might need to be changed?

I figured it out.
The song that I was trying to convert was in iCloud, not downloaded to my local iTunes. Once I downloaded the song "Create AAC version" appeared.
