Phone not detected by USB in Ford Sync after IOS 9 update

After updating my IPhone 6 to IOS 9 my iphone is not detected as available in my 2013 Ford Fusion after hooking up the phone by USB to the car. Ford SYNC recognizes the phone on Bluetooth no problem but says no phone detected when connected to USB. I have tried using different USB cables, did a master reset on the SYNC software on the car and re-paired the phone by Bluetooth but still nothing. The phone charges just fine when connected to the car USB but is not recognized by SYNC. It was working great in IOS 8 but not now. Hope Ford and Apple can come up with a patch soon.

Yeah right..... I do appreciate your response but expecting either Ford or Apple to respond in a timely manner to any complaint is .... well like expecting Donald Trump to prove his intellect Is above his ***** length in (insert measurement length but id give him millimeters) ...

I have the same issue with my Ford Fusion 2013 after upgrading to ios 9. Everytime I turn on the engine I have to disconnect and reconnect the usb cable in otfrt to the iphone to be detected but not always it works. Please somebody help.

This is very common after major - and even minor - iOS updates. See if there's an update for the head unit in your car and/or contact Ford for help. It's up to them to fix this.
