iOS 9 safari no open in option for .doc or .ppt

Ever since upgrading to iOS 9 on my iPad Air 2, I no longer see the "Open In" option in Safari when accessing a .doc or .ppt. How do I get that functionality back? I'm dead in the water without it.

I can still open those extension now in I OS 9, however, the "Open in" functionality (to download the file to my iPad) is not there. Prior to iOS 9, I would go to a file in Safari with .doc or .ppt extension, and I would be able to use the "Open in" to select PowerPoint or Keynote or Word or Pages. However, that option is not available anymore. Now I have no way to download those files to my iPad. Is there another way to do it in IOS 9?

This certainly is NOT "Solved", and it is incorrect-- iOS Safari can indeed open .doc and .xls files; what was removed was the ability to send the document to another app. QuickTimeKirk suggesting we download them to our device and use Pages, Keynote, or Numbers to open the file is quite absurd, because THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO DO! Without any way of moving this document from Safari to another app, how exactly do you expect us to do this???

I'm having the same problem too. It's driving me crazy. I can't open my documents in Adobe or even preview them on HP eprint before printing. I tried the print option but the document alignment was all out (it's a microsoft word document). How to open the document in another app?? I can't do my work like this. I want the open in option back. I wish I never updated to iOS 9.

I found a work around for this... at least it works with .doc or .docx files

Open the document on safari then choose "safe PDF to iBooks" from the menu bar. iBooks will convert it to PDF. Open iBooks send it to your self as email attatchment (function available on iBooks), open your mail, download the document and then "open in" menu will appear, select whatever app you want (that is compatible with PDF reading files).

I really hope they fix this soon.
