I have a late 2014 Mac Mini running Yosemite. It's connected to a desktop monitor with DVI and to a home theater receiver with HDMI. The receiver is connected to a tv. The receiver is AirPlay capable. The Mac is also connected to a desktop speakerphone/mic with USB and to speakers with the miniplug.
When the receiver is switched on, everything's fine, but here's the problem. When I'm sitting at the desk and the receiver is switched off, every few seconds my mouse cursor and keyboard will completely freeze for a period of a few seconds. The loop is endless until I switch on the receiver. It makes the system unusable unless I switch on the receiver unnecessarily when I'm working at the desk.
Is there a smarter way around this?
