The Search bar keeps disappearing in the iBooks Store.

Hi, the Search bar and other links disappear in the iBooks store after I have done a search, and the only way I can get them back is if I close the app completely (double clicking and swiping it off). This gets really tedious every time I want to search multiple times. It started doing this after I updated to ios 9. Knew I should have waited a few weeks to update 😟 Any way to fix this or do I have to wait a month or so for the next update for a possible fix? Anyone else having issues with this???

I use a iPad 4th gen. and now iOS9 (unfortunately)

Thanks! I think Customer Service finally has a handle on this. I was able to get them to replicate the problem via a short movie of my experience.

I would not restore my iPad if I had a chance for a redo.

Hi

I am having the same problem. I have the problem when I open the store options, Featured - NY Times - Top Charts -Top Authors, click on a title to view details,

view the pop-up description, then close the pop-up by clicking on the background. The top bar including the search box whites out. My current work around is to click on My Books on the bottom bar, the go back to the store. I don't have to close the iBooks app.

As far as I can tell, there is no current fix. I contacted Apple Customer Service. Their three suggestions, close the app and reopen, power off the iPad and repower on, and, most radically, restore the iPad through iTunes (essentially wiping your iPad and reinstalling the iOS), all did not work. I believe it is a software problem with iOS 9, but have not received an acknowledgement. My other frustration is that you and I have this problem but Apple does not seem able to replicate the problem. Good luck.

Hey, thanks for replying. That's exactly my issue. I think its a problem with iOS 9 too. I also recently discovered that if I just go back to my books then back to featured I get the search bar back (though I tried this after I upgraded and I don't think this worked(??) hence my frustration with the new system). I know its not a major bug but its just annoying and I hope Apple fixes it in the new update and not blow this off because only a few have this issue. Glad I am not alone in this problem 🙂

I am having this issue also. It works fine on my iPhone 5S but not my MacBook Air. If I just open a book in iBooks, the search bar is there. As I keep reading, it disappears. If I click the middle of the search bar, the display returns but as soon as I move the cursor, it disappears. I have to remember the locations of the options and then click around them until I am successful. I hope this gets fixed in yet another path.

i'm having this problem. ios 9.3.2. ipad mini 4. no search bar in ibooks store. any solutions now in June 2016? thanks.
