Everything was working fine until i updated my phone to ios 9.Siri wont speak even when the voice feedback is always on.Tried restarting my phone and turning siri on and off.Nothing helps!!!

Many of us have had the same issue. The only way I could fix mine was to do a backup... Then do restore of the iphone. This takes a LONG Time but will fix the issue. (For me because of a 64 gb phone and 133 apps the restore was 2 hours).

HI, Siri would not speak in English after update ios9 however if you change to British or Australian accent she or he will speak. I guess this is an apple problem as someone stated.
Just go and change to British or Australian accent it stills speaks EnglishJust different accent You do not have to reset all. However the American Siri does not speak after update iOS 9. Apple needs to fix this
Changed the language and Siri works. Crazy, but Apple needs to fix this. I like the English language
I use the British woman accent all the time and Siri doesn't speak. So anyone else have another workaround??? I've tried everything listed on all the threads. Also some of the alerts for some apps are not working! Ex: my firefighting paging App. even the company sent out a warning that it is an Apple issue and to be aware of this.
Okay this is really weird… for giggles I switched over the Siri voice from British to American.. just the opposite of the advise here. (I had the British accent activated when I updated to IOS9) and suddenly Siri spoke to me! I can switch to every accent except the one I always used... British. So… apparently whatever you used when you performed the update is deactivated??? Can someone else verify this? Weird.
