Q: Can't choose 'none' for payment method when changing region
Hi, I need help about a trouble that I have after upgrading my device from ios 8 to ios 9. Before upgrading, I can freely change my apple id region from Canada to Indonesia without needing to add a payment method, i.e. the 'none' option is always available, but now after choosing the new region (Indonesia), it does not show me the option for none. It requires me to input a payment method, which is not an option for me because I do not want to disclose any payment method since I only download free apps.
What I see now when I want to change the region using the app store from my iphone is a form as if I am creating a new apple id. Even though it retains the same email address that I use before and has the previous information that I submit, e.g. security question and DOB, it asks me to create a new password (can't be the same one that I use before which is quite a pain). I tried changing the region through icloud>setting and from itunes app but neither worked.
I really need help for this, because the apps that I want to download is necessary for my work and it requires an update due to my device's upgrade to ios 9.
The situation is that, I only temporarily live in Indonesia, so I do not see any necessity to make a new apple id. All my previous purchases have always been from Canada region and to have an entirely new apple id would mean re-downloading the app for the new apple id. So, I really hope for a solution that can bring the 'none' option back and without asking me to create a new password.
I want to hear anyone's opinions on this and I really appreciate it if you guys can help me finding a solution for my problem. Cheers.
