Q: iPhone iOS 9 Calendar problem

I upgraded two iPhones 5s to IOS 9 this past week.  In Calendar, when I have the month view up, I use to be able to touch any day and that day would show up.  Now, nothing happens when I touch a specific day.  This is not an upgrade but a bug.  One should be able to look ahead at any date to see what is scheduled.

It seems it may be a change. If you are in the month view, if you double-tap the date, the individual date will come up. I've read a number of threads about this. If you would like to comment to Apple about it, use the feedback page, http://www.apple.com/feedback and click on the appropriate subject area.

Mine works the same way as it always did on iOS 8; just updated. No difference  iPhone 6+

That is interesting. You can be in the month view, then tap on a single day and that day will open up? None of the people I know that have updated, including those that have written in this and other threads are seeing that behavior. It works the way I describe on my iPhone 5s and iPad Mini. Seems that it requires a double-tap to open a Day view from the Month view.

I'm having that same problem on my 5s. Sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't. Clearly a bug but it doesn't appear to have been addressed by Apple yet.

Thanks on the tip to double-tap. I was getting frustrated b/c single tap was not working, which is how it worked on IOS8.

I agree that is the way it used to work. It seems now that a double-tap is the way it works. I'm waiting to download a copy of the iOS 9 User Guide in pdf, but that seems to be delayed. I'm searching the online version now to see if it addresses information about this.

EDIT: Just finished that search, and it does not address the actual manner to deal with viewing day from the month view. Hopefully we will get additional information later.

When viewing the calendar in a month view, double-tapping on a particular date will not take you to the day view? What troubleshooting have you tried?

Regarding this calendar issue, I have experienced the same thing, I would have to touch up to a dozen times to find the "spot" where an individual day would open from the month view (also on a 5s). It is very frustrating...

I went in just now to try the double-tap method and now single tapping is opening any day in any month without issue. I don't know what could have changed but hopefully it will be resolved soon.

I'm having the same problem and it looks like a bug.

After some experimentation, I was able to determine that, not only does a double tap work, but a single short, quick tap Works every time. The double tap works because The first of those two taps is a short, quick tap.

I hate what they have done with Calendar in IOS 9 - but when you look at the month, in order to get to the day just tap "today" and not the date on the month view. Dumb? Right. Also, I just discovered that you can still tap on the day in the month view to get that day to come up - but you have to tap quickly.
