Dec 10, 2015 2:22 AM in response to rkmagby alexia34fr,This is the same problem for me, Out of warranty and Apple won't consider that the update is in cause
He said it's the motherboard without testing anything and they can't repair it...
iOS9.2 doesn't solve the problem and I can't use my phone anymore, I've switched on a cheap Android phone .
I'll try to call applecare, the tech said me to insist because the warranty just expire for one month, and I've have other problems before (home button)

Dec 10, 2015 10:54 AM in response to surfingxpby groovelite,I ended up chatting with Apple support and they replaced my phone.
Unfortunately, this is not a software issue but a hardware issue related to the logic board in the iPhone 5s (not sure about other models). The genius I spoke with at the Apple store said they are aware of this issue but have been unable to narrow down the culprit. He said he sees customers come in once or twice a month with the exact same problem and symptoms.
In my case, my phone would work for a few days after DFU restore and then go back to blue screen. A couple days ago it finally failed completely and would not boot into iOS. I chose to contact Apple support through chat and give some background on the issue. After discussing it with a senior advisor, Apple was kind enough to help me out, even though I was out of warranty. You may fare similarly if they have not made a warranty exception for you in the past. It's worth a shot. No iOS update is going to fix this issue.
One tip, I made a video of the issue using another phone and uploaded it to Apple. They seemed to like this.
Good luck.

Dec 10, 2015 8:32 PM in response to grooveliteby Vikingsfan12,I have been having the same problem to since atleast early August. I dealt with it for many months and finally my phone has been acting so bad I call tech support and the first guy could not helped me but, I talked to a supervisor and they said pretty much when you get the blue screen of death your phone is pretty much done for. Since, I have been a customer with apple for a couple years they extended my warranty and won't help me. So, yea that's about the only choice you got.

Dec 16, 2015 1:21 PM in response to Vikingsfan12by rkmag,I did as what groovelite had done and just picked up my replacement. It has iOS 8.4.1 on it but I'm not sure if I should update to 9.2 as I fear that it will crash again.

Dec 31, 2015 5:50 PM in response to surfingxpby wujc,After having the same problem with my iphone 5s for a month, i switched to my old iphone 4 and now I just found out so many people with iphone5s are having the same problem after updating iOS 9.2. So much inconveniences caused because of this! Will there be a fix?

Jan 2, 2016 6:00 PM in response to surfingxpby DrJimT,It's extremely unlikely that it is hardware because I have made no changes to my hardware. It is very likely that it is an iOS 9 bug because it only occurs with the installation of iOS 9. Without customer satisfaction for the inconvenience and expense caused by this Apple blunder, the market for iPhones will evaporate.

Jan 2, 2016 9:24 PM in response to DrJimTby rkmag,There is a firmware update that comes with iOS 9. This could trigger crashes if your iphone has faulty hardware. This is what was explained to me.

Jan 4, 2016 2:20 PM in response to DrJimTby DrJimT,Update 04 Jan 2016: Backed up iPhone 5S to PC running iTunes, restored iPhone iOS9.2, reinstalled all apps from backup except "bitmoji" which was most recent installation. My 5S has been running without incident for two days. I'll post something if it crashes again and may post an update in a few days if all continues to be well.

Jan 7, 2016 6:49 PM in response to riffeby seedlai,My 5s have the same problem in ios 9.1~9.2.
It usually happened in use apple podcast app or safari app.
I survey how to solve this problem, and find the way to solve BSOD:
1.When BSOD happen, press the "power" button first, then see the apple mark
2.quickly pressing the "volume up" button, until see the home screen
It solved the BSOD。
Maybe this is not correct way or just lucky, but I try it for three times, my 5s is always can work.
