Q: my son attempted to upgrade to iOS 9 on Thursday, he is stuck on the "slide to upgrade" screen, we tried the suggested fix, but because he hadn't synced his phone to his new computer we can't get past the "trust this computer", any way to get around?

My son attempted to upgrade to iOS 9 on Thursday, he is still stuck on the "slide to upgrade" screen.  We attempted the proposed fix by Apple, however because he has a brand new computer (he is away at school/university) he had not taken the time to sync his phone to the computer, we cannot get around the "trust this computer" prompt needed to be selected on the phone, because  he is stuck on the slide screen....any suggestions on how to get around the trust issue, so he can attempt the fix?  Please help, I do not like the fact that he is away from home w/o communication with me.  Thank you!

    This helped very much, to get the phone to trust the computer was the key...we did try to restore from a previous back-up, but the back up contained the iOS9 version and we were stuck again....so we ended up having to restore to factory settings, where he lost his contacts and pics, I will attempt to see if anything was saved in the cloud that he might be able to access....if you have any thoughts here, please share.  Thank you for the help, because Apple Support was NO HELP!
