"Copy from iTunes" option has gone missing in iOS 9.

For years, I've transferred files from my Mac to Pages (on my iPhone) via iTunes. Now all of a sudden, following upgrade to iOS 9, the option to "Copy from iTunes" has disappeared in the control panel. Mind you, all other options for transferring files (such as Dropbox) are failing as well at this time. Clearly, whoever supports Pages needs to get the app in sync with the new OS. In the meantime, the app is completely useless to me.

My question, though, is whether the option to move files via iTunes is permanently gone, or if it's just a glitch that will be fixed. It would be kind of insane for Apple's own word processing app to no longer interface with iTunes, but who knows what anyone thinks out there in the increasingly schizophrenic world of Apple.

I won't use the Cloud. I'll never use the Cloud. If that's the only way files will move in and out of Pages from now on, then it's goodbye to Pages. But I hope that's not the case. Anyone who knows anything...I'd sure appreciate some input here. Thanks.

Importing via iTunes is only available when there is actually a document available to import. Otherwise it remains hidden under the Import Menu. Dropbox does not support opening files in Pages, but should be available for you to export documents to under Send a Copy. Exporting to iTunes should also be available with Send a Copy as well. In my experience Box.com is the most compatible service with the iWork apps.

I'm loading it into iTunes as i've always done, adding it via the Apps when my phone is connected to my Mac (desktop). But when I open Pages on my phone, neither the document nor the option to "Copy from iTunes" is there anymore.

I'll try again in response to your post, but I sincerely doubt anything different will happen this time. If it does, I'll let you know! I'll also look into Box.com, but as of last night, it seemed as though nothing would allow me to import docs into Pages at all.

P.S. Has anyone else out there experienced this problem? Could it be that my phone is so old (iPhone 4...I know, I'm ancient history and long overdue for an upgrade)?

The mystery continues....

So today, "Copy from iTunes" has magically reappeared as an option in the import menu--which makes me happy. I did the same thing I'd done last night (the same thing I've done thousands of times on iTunes) but last night didn't offer me the "Copy from iTunes" option. Today, it's there again, and so is the document I added.

Unfortunately, the app continues to crash every time I try to actually import the document.

What the heck is going on?? I wish there were someone responsible at Apple or Pages developers whom I could contact. Any ideas??

I would try deleting and reinstalling the app for starters. Also, you can file a bug report with Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

Do get your Pages crashlog, just sync the device via iTunes. Then, in the Finder choose the Go Menu > Go to Folder and enter ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/ and look for your iPhone. The log starts with "Pages" and ends with "crash". Paste the log in the Comments section and make not of your device type and what you were doing to reproduce the issue.
