Sep 19, 2015 10:04 PM in response to Knuckles2001by Jeff,The SGRAM card used in your iMac was an ATI-proprietary card, used in the beige G3 series, some ATI graphics cards, and a very limited number of 1998-vintage PCs with an onboard ATI GPU. As far as I know, the only compatible card for Apple computers was available in a 2 MB and 4 MB version, with the latter being more common and easier to find, but that was some years ago. A recent search for the SGRAM card turned up only a few listings on ebay and some of the memory dealers that stocked it in the past, no longer carry it. If it helps, it's the same card that was used in the beige G3 series, which is a 144-pin SO-DIMM, 32-bit wide, fast-paged, 83 MHz/12 ns cycle time or faster. With the 2 MBs of onboard SGRAM, the 4 MB card will max out the video memory at 6 MBs. I doubt that the specs for the 8 MB card that you found on ebay would be compatible with your iMac.
