Nov 5, 2015 8:17 PM in response to Highwaystar79by Tmitch1390,Update on my unreasonable griping about iOS 9, for which I humbly stand corrected:
Seems my freezing issue was most definitely a hardware issue as determined by Apple and my 6 plus was replaced for a second time at no expense to me.
iOS 9 was not the issue. To Apple: I apologize. My remarks and criticism were completely unfounded.
To Jonathan, Danny, Monica and others who reached out to me intending to get my issue resolved: You're ******* amazing. Thank you for your professionalism, understanding and compassion. No company on the planet would go to lengths you went to so that JUST. ONE. CUSTOMER. is taken care of.
The tech world needs to understand this.

Nov 5, 2015 8:23 PM in response to Tmitch1390by jasonb b,Glad you are fixed, but you are the rare case for it being a hardware issue. IOS 9 is the culprit in 99% of these cases. Existing phone running great, and then being updated, and then no longer run great....

Nov 5, 2015 8:33 PM in response to jasonb bby Tmitch1390,Installing iOS 9 on the new phone right now. It came out of the box with 8.4.1. Let's see what happens.

Nov 5, 2015 10:14 PM in response to jasonb bby Tmitch1390,Hrm.
Seems my new 6 plus has taken to iOS 9 quite well, albeit only for about an hour now but so far, everything seems to operating as advertised.
So while I'm puting this phone through its paces, I have questions: First to those in this thread - Show of hands. How many of you with a complaint have had Apple contact you wrt your specific issue?. If they did, have you responded? If not, why not?
Surely I can't be the only person Apple contacted in this thread.
Secondly to jason b: Quote: IOS 9 is the culprit in 99% of these cases.
How did you arrive at that number? Would you mind sharing your analysis?
Thanks in advance.

Nov 6, 2015 5:11 AM in response to huizzipoloby Tmitch1390,Take your phone to an Apple Store and have them run diagnostics. Sounds like you have the same problem I had, a bad display.

If your iOS 9 device is stuck on Slide to Upgrade - Apple Support
I´ve done restore from itunes quite a few times, and other things, but to be honest never tried doing it this way.
- Connect your iOS device to a computer. Then make sure that iTunes is open.
- While your device is connected, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
- When asked, choose Update.
- When the restore is done, finish the onscreen steps to set up your device.
Can´t believe is so simple and never tried it before.
So far this would be my solution to this, but I wish I could tell you for sure it works. Have to give it a few more days to be sure.
Not sure about taking it to an app store to check bad display issue as i´ve used my iphone 6 128gb for about a year (ios8) with no problems whatsoever.

Nov 6, 2015 12:50 PM in response to Joev101by Tmitch1390,Because you're not sure. That's why you should take your phone in. Once you've eliminated hardware as an issue then it's got to be an iOS problem, no?
Make an appointment.

Nov 8, 2015 5:53 PM in response to Tmitch1390by SriniIyer,I have the same problem for over 3 weeks since I upgraded to iOS 9.x. It works fine for a while, then freezes up:
- Most of the time it freezes up whenever any app is launched that required keyboard e.g. iMessage, Email, Notes, etc.
- Then it would freeze up when I want to unlock the phone. It won't even allow my Touch ID to function
- It would freeze up suddenly and I won't be able to even switch off the phone or do anything
Whenever it freezes up, the only option is to hard reset (hold Touch ID and Power button until Apple log appears). After reading about Siri, I have swithched it off, and so far it is working fine for about 3 hours. Otherwise, I was practically hard resetting it for 4 - 5 times daily.
Will update again tomorrow on how it went.

Nov 9, 2015 3:42 AM in response to SriniIyerby Peter Bowden,If you read earlier posts, you will realise than iOS 9 freezing was quite a widespread problem. Downloading and installing the update 9.01 seems to have solved it for most people. If that fails to work, you may have a hardware problem and probably should take your 'phone to Apple.

Nov 9, 2015 8:50 AM in response to Tmitch1390by jasonb b,I can't find the thread I posted in, but people have done what I did to fix mine and it fixed them too
"reset all settings" do it TWICE. After it reboots, once, do a reset all settings again! This fixed me, but I did both things shown above.
Also, in addtion, IN keyboard settings, I think in accessibility, change the lowercase keyboard to upper case, or vice versa. Whatever it's currently set on, CHANGE IT to lower or all caps. They key here is changing it to what is wasn't set on originally.

Nov 10, 2015 1:31 AM in response to Highwaystar79by gillesluangprabang,I had the same problem; my iphone 6 was freezing a few minutes, and i could not find the right letters on the keybord;
sometimes , many applications opened by themselves and i couldnt control.
I have desactivated my lock code and miracle, no more problem,
when i wanted to enter a new code IOS 9 asked 6 digits, before the code was 4 digits; it might be the issue.

Dec 5, 2015 8:35 PM in response to SriniIyerby Brian_sdl,I think I have found the solution: just turn off Cellular Data and that would be fixed. I have been trying for so many things before for over 3 weeks and only this trick works. Hopefully the new iOS 9.2 would fix this stupid problem. Cheers.
