ApplicationsHi,
This board is hosted by Apple but the vast majority of Porters are other users like yourself.
There are some "Hosts" (moderators) employed by Apple but they rarely post on matters about Apps and hardware. (you might see posts in the "Using Apple Discussions" area).
There have been some Community Specialists who are posters paid to look for unanswered Posts that in most forums are over 24 hours old (slipped to the second page in most cases).
On really fast forums they may wait longer then the 2 page "rule" and be closer to the actual 24 hours.
As Eric hints at it may be changes you have made elsewhere that are the issue.
Setting up @ step Verification needs an Application specific password set for FaceTime and Messages.
The System Preferences > Date and Time > Automatic Time Server setting can stop you logging in. (Apple error messages phrase it as "registering" in some cases).
Also if you have changed Time Zones and not adjusted the computer you can get this error.
